Privacy Policy

CountedDays is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it doesn't do — with your information.
Data we collect
None. CountedDays does not collect or automatically transmit personal data to Elpax AB. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no tracking, and no analytics. The only sharing is what you explicitly initiate with the system share sheet, as described below.
Data stored on your device
The information you enter into CountedDays — countdown titles, dates, weekday settings, calendar exceptions, tags, and any background photos you add — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard on-device storage. It is shared with the CountedDays Home Screen widget through Apple's App Group mechanism, which keeps the data on the same device.
This data is included in your device backup if you have iCloud Backup or encrypted local backups enabled. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Photos
If you choose a photo as a background for a countdown or tag, CountedDays reads only the image you select via the system photo picker. The image is stored on your device for use in the app and widget. It is not uploaded anywhere.
Sharing
If you choose to share a countdown, CountedDays creates either a rendered image/caption or a CountedDays countdown file and gives it to Apple's system share sheet. The countdown file contains the visible content needed to recreate that countdown: its title; target date; unit and counting rules, including weekday choices, cutoff, and exceptions; tags; and, when present, the primary background image together with its square and wide crops and image-source kind, identifier, and variant. It does not contain the sender's internal countdown identifier or original creation time. The receiving app assigns a new identifier and import time. The destination you choose — for example Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, or another app — receives that content and applies its own privacy policy. CountedDays does not send it anywhere unless you choose a destination.
Purchases
The optional CountedDays Supporter Pack is processed by Apple through the App Store using your existing Apple ID. We do not see your payment details. Apple may share aggregated, anonymized sales information with us; this is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Third parties
CountedDays does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children
CountedDays is suitable for all ages. Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
